Compare & Contrast

I think I prefer the second one. Although, tbh, I may have a bias to his natural looking blonde hair. I think I'm going to bring in a screen still of him to my hairdresser this Saturday.

Yo shit is eeevil

I usually try to boycott any airbrushed teenaged sell-out marianette thats conceived out of the Disney/Family Channel puss-ay, but this guys lyrics are gold.

Here's the thing, yeah we started out friends
but this is not a Kelly Clarkson song,
and not how it ends
Everything I thought about you was lies
Thought that I knew you,
but you were disguised
Everything I thought about you was bogus
I speak for the both of us
time to say bye

Save face, and get out of town
Take the car you're driving
and just turn it around
'cause you're a
nutcase
you're freaking me out
I'm sorry that you hate me 'cause I just wasn't down

You're the devil
you're a filthy piece of trash
gotta brush you off my shoulder
gonna let you kiss my ass
You're a diablo
You're so damn evil
You're a diablo
Your shit is evil

Are you crazy?
because you're so out of line
I swear someday you're gonna freak and claw out my eye
oh wait, you did
Oh baby, baby
does she take a piece of lime
for the drink that I'ma buy her
Oh wait this song isn't mine

Uh oh, you're coming unglued
If it wasn't so damn frequent then I'd try to subdue
but you're a
Psycho
they all know it too
I can't wait until the day when I am
finally rid of you

Oh, now I really wanna see you get help
I really wanna see you get over yourself
and I do wish you well
but I have to say I'm glad you're gone
Oh, and I'm thinking that you might lose your nerve
the very first time you hear this song
but I did nothing wrong
except let you stay in my life.

Diablo - Simon Curtis

You know, this place has really got me thinking;

is it better to live a monster or die a good man?

Formspring

Should I delete?
I'm kinda tired of sexual questions and sketchy anonymous messages.
I've been asked for details on my private regions over 10 times this week alone.
Baha sick pigs.. :) Knew this site would be stupid.

"Take that jacket off your back and give it to me. I'm fuckin freezing"

Today was great.
Our carnival this year shall be LEGIT. We decided on the best inflatable slides and obstacle courses ever.
I particularly enjoyed my Daina and Eunice = (L) body tattoos, the sexual texts during the meaning, my ponytail, my pigtails, putting my fingers through my fly to make it look like a dick, having David stroke it etc. Unsupervised council meeting on a Friday afternoon in classroom-style seating: again please.
Square & Carmen's was great also.
It was nice running into these two Leabaneese hookers (ie. D squared + Tayslew). And being third wheel was pretty fun. Gotta say. Funny People was excellent. Almost unbearably stupid, but hilarious.
OH and I saw Craig and met his friend Christine. Honestly can't tell the difference between them and Dan & Jessie. Just sayin. Aha it was worth freezing my ass off for you two for 5 minutes. Just sayin.
However, disappointment of the night: didn't get Carmen's mom's pizza. My weekend: ruined. :)

Focus and Perserverance

...a skill that was put to great use this week.
I had a lot to do, and I'm in the home stretch to mid-terms, so I had to do it well.
I wish I could just take the marks I have now and leave.
Honestly though; data, philo, and english are fine. I have 97, 94 and 90 respectively.
Calculus is my biggest concern. Honestly, in concept it's easy, but it's REALLY easy to make stupid mistakes. I had an 82 for a while but got back the test I thought I did really bad on- I got a 96. My eyes watered. After first semester, I honestly felt hopeless. I thought something had happened to me and I lost my drive to do well. But I studied my ass off for that test and I guess it paid off. And it bumped my mark up another 6 percent.
Moral of the story: at the end of the day, it's not going to come down to your intellectual potential, but the fuel in the tank. I honestly believe that its determinant of your potential.
And thank you especially to those of you on council, Joey, Napta, Michelle, and Christina for keeping me sane. From long talks till 6 pm in the council room, to the library till 9, to hooking me up with ice tea lemonades, to missions to McDonald's, to a hilarious unsupervised Friday council meeting, to reminiscing on old times; you continue to be an instrument of motivation and hope. I'm really starting to see who my true friends are. I'm finding that, with some people, I can really just let go and never have to second guess myself. I just hope that at least a handful of you will be in my next chapter when this one comes to an end in June..

The Stupidity of Societal Rules

This is my girlfriend's (well sorta girlfriend's) article in The Medium that questions fashion rules and expectations. I'm so proud Lysan :) (L)

Be Eccentric
Article by Lysan Sequiera, The Medium
One thing that really irritates me about the perception of fashion is the idea of “fashion rules and limits.” I do believe in dressing for your body type and, more importantly, dressing appropriately for your age (tweed is for 50 year-old women and pigtails are for toddlers). I am referring to the more common rules, such as “Don’t wear white after Labour Day” and “Always match your shoes with your purse.” In fact, I’ve often worn a white blouse or blazer in the middle of November. I’ve also worn black shoes with a yellow purse.

For some people, rules like the aforementioned are definitely meant to be followed. But think about it. What real harm would come if you did decide to try it out? For you to buy those adorable cowboy boots that aren’t really “your style,” that beautiful jumpsuit that you love but you feel you won’t get use out of, or that brilliant bib necklace that you have nothing to match with. Sometimes it’s subconscious—for example, do you wonder what people will say or think when they see you wearing that? How will you look? How will you feel? Are you trying too hard?
I, along with many other ladies, have struggled with those questions, but after much deliberation (and lots of shopping), I have realized that it really doesn’t matter.

Fashion is meant to be fun, playful and exciting. It is about feeling beautiful, confident, sexy and smart. Forget about the “rules” and go out and buy those cowboy boots, jumpsuit and bib necklace, but maybe not all at the same time. It is a recession after all.

The only thing you really need to be sure of is that you feel comfortable and confident. Confidence is sexy. Think about how amazing and radiant women like BeyoncĂ©, Gwen Stefani and Leighton Meester are. We’ve all seen that girl at the club (or mall, movies, school) who wears a killer outfit. “She looks incredible, but I would never be able to pull that off,” we whisper to our best friend—or to ourselves.

Why? What makes her any different from you? The most important thing is that she’s wearing a gorgeous smile and a huge coat of confidence.
I urge you all to remember this advice and take it with you on your next shopping trip or the next time you’re getting ready to go out. Instead of loving what someone else has the courage to wear, gather up your confidence and buy it yourself Be bold, be daring, be eccentric. But most importantly, be confident.

Well put. And it's just like how people expect guys to dress a certain way. Shove the rules back up your ass and be different.

Wife

I'll never get over her.

Black & Gold

if the fish swam out of the ocean
and grew legs and they started walking
and the apes climbed down from the trees
and grew tall and they started talking

and the stars fell out of the sky
and my tears rolled into the ocean
now i'm looking for a reason why
you even set my world into motion

Dear Cristiano Ronaldo,

As expected from a male Portuguese youth, I worship the ground you walk on.
But it's getting harder and harder to defend your wardrobe choices.
Please burn the booty shorts and that pink flower your wear on your ear.
Thanks bruthah.

Fun Fact

What do Keeanu Reeves, Katy Perry, Joe Perry, Carmen Miranda, Jesse Metcalfe, and Merideth Vieira all have in common?
They all hae Portuguese roots.
Who woulda thunk?

PS. I think I have a dimple fetish. Diana Chaves is fucking sexy. And more importantly, Portuguese.

Procrastination

Really not in the mood to do 2 chapters of Calculus.
It doesn't help that I was just reminded of my Portugal info board that's due tomorrow for our "Cultural Swaver".
I don't think I had one good sleep this whole break.

Florida Highlights

Got back from Florida yesterday.
Basically, we drove down to Buffalo, flew into South Carolina, then connected Orlando; and did the reverse coming back.
Shit Disturber Highlight: Tailgating people on the go-karts at Magic Kingdom and ramming into their ass full-speed at the end.
Unique Highlight: When people noticed my birthday pin (don't ask why I had one) and then the guy in front of me in line got dared to sing me Birthday Sex. Obviously a dare and then I talked to all of them for the rest of the way up. They were a group of 6 from Texas. Really nice people :) One girl even stroked some strangers sideburns as a dare :P
Freaky Highlight: Elbowing my dad in the eye socket & thinking I made him blind for a while.
Delirium Highlight:
Provocatively winding down the poles of the busy monorail to Magic Kingdom at night. And having a cougar smile and enjoy it.
Foot-in-Mouth Highlight: In the Canadian pavilion at Epcot I asked where in Canada the workers were from and one was from Brantford and the other from somewhere in Quebec and in disappointment that I couldn't find anyone from Mississauga I accidently said "That sucks".
Awkward Highlight: Taking a piss next to Peter Pan. So much for staff washrooms?
Disappointing Highlight: When I was supposed to meet Rachel at Animal Kingdom but there were too many people for us to find each other (N)
Clever Highlight: So we're in a 2 hour line up for Space Mountain and some guy offered to give up his single fast pass for some reason so of course I grabbed it.. but we needed one more for my brother so we could use the Fast Pass line. So of course I go to the attendant at the fast pass line, make up a sob story about how my brother lost his fast pass, and she lets us go right to the front of the line. Genius.

Overall, an awesome trip :) The weather was meh, but still had a good time and met a lot of people.

Pce Canada

Leaving for Florida in a bit.
We're driving down to Buffallo first, spending some time at the Galleria, hitting up The Cheesecake Factory, then taking a plane to South Carolina and spending a night there, then taking a short plane ride to Orlando.
We're staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort in Disney World again.
I fucking love Disney World. This will get exciting. :)
And to all of you, traveling or not, have an incredible and safe march break.

Bro & I at Disney in 2008. Lol short hair :)

Pet Peeve #22

When you fully write the correct answer on a test, second guess yourself, erase it, and put down a new answer. Thereafter, upon handing in your test, your teacher laughs at you conspicously and then you discover that you intially had the right answer.
I honestly studied my ass off for this English quest. I'm confident that I got everything else right, but that one this just killed it. It's even worse that some guys were fully talking about how "Coredlia" was the answer for a question, but I was unsure if they were referring to the one I was on. Ughhhh ihu quotation explanations. Hopefully the quotation explanation still gets marks?
Whatever though. Nbd. I'm doing well in Engrish :)

Telephone Video

Just released. This is epic. Pretty controversial. Whoa. Some notes:
-Really wanna get on the two bitches at the beginning, just sayin.
-Gaga kinds looks like Brittany Murphy in the jail scene..
-Beyonce just made me PISS myself
-I thought I misheard the newscaster when he said "Pussy Wagon"
-This is an excellent alternative to doing any kind of heavy drugs

Self-Fact #24

I kinda own a lot of shoes. Over 20, to be exact. I don't know.. my mom likes shopping for guys shoes and always offers to get me stuff. Here are just a few- This is my favourite pair. I bought them at Aldo on boxing day even though there weren't on sale.. and just about 100 dollaw. Nbd. They get compliments all the time.

Even though I can't wear these out if I'm walking a lot, I love my moccasins. Most comofrtable shoes ever. Some people have issues with guys wearing them, but really what the fuck. It's just a shoe. In fact, they do make some specially for guys. Go shopping in a store downtown other than Wal-Mart and perhaps you'll expand your horizons.
And then there's the most practical, my Chucks. These are essential. You can wear them with anything and they fit nicely. I wear these to and around school everyday and never get booked. I even have a kinda worn-out pair for when I'm fucking around/biking and a clean pair for going out.

"PLEASE take your time, I need a break from working" -Donna the Cashier

Friday was splendid.
Waited for thirty goddamn minutes for someone to get their slow ass to the mall while I starved to death. I was actually gasping..
Fortunately, I was entertained by a 5 year old asian girl dancing to Destiny's Child songs.
Unfortunately, she was so kind as to eat chocolate ice cream in my face. Slowly.
But yeahh, I had my Manchu Wok (L) and kinda needed to buy clothes for Florida, but H&M was kinda balls so I'm probably hitting up Sherway or Eatons this week.
We went to Chapter's in excited anticipation of looking at a particular book in the Sexuality section, but were disappointed to find that it was occupied by a couple. It was also disappointing to be walking passed them as the boyfriend was sensually squeezing his girlfriend's ass and have Isabelle burst out laughing in their face. They were also 40 years old.
After ambling through the aisles which seemed to all be occupied by cults of emo kids, it was also disappointing to spot April and Allysa, only to have me approach April from behind and grab her ass, which caused her to shriek in her Mariah Carey octave.
Haha I love you girls. So glad I ran into you.
April would rest the camera on a box for a group photo, haha. The girls to the left gave the dirtiest look. :)
Isabelle & I watched Alice after. Pretty good. Not like AMAZING, but still good. Visuals were mesmerizing, acting was phenomenal, but Mr. Depp's dancing just about killed it at the end.
The girl in front of us with a puffy red dress, criss cross nyolns, a tiara, red high heels, and a red heart wand certainly did not contribute to my movie experience either. Buying a large Iced Tea, popcorn, Sweedish Berries, M&M's, and the 3D glasses I can punch the lenses out of and wear from now on made up for this.

I've Got The World On A String

I'd just like to say that my man crush got the most Juno nominations.
6 to be exact.
So to those of you who make fun of me for bursting out into Buble songs,
SUCK ON THAT!
Especially you, Mr. Bieber. I know you want to regardless.

Pet Peeve #21 / Stereotype Rant

"There is one condition worse than blindness, and that is, seeing something that isn't there"

When I'm stereotyped as a stupid, shit disturber, skater kid.
I'm none of the above.
Honestly, I know my teachers take me for an idiot for the first two weeks of classes. And so do other people. They think just because of how I look and who I talk to that I must be some careless white kid who'd rather be on his skateboard at Hershey.
I'll never forget one instance where a teacher, who I'll choose not to name, was giving back our first unit tests and refused to believe I was Matthew Botelho. She looked at the mark, looked at me, and literally said "What? You're Matthew Botelho?" with a confused look on her face. I said yes, and she gave me a look as though I was lying. She didn't give me my test until all the people around me confirmed I was Matt.
Just because me, or anyone for that matter, looks a certain way, doesn't mean they are how you perceive them. At the end of the day, I'm not the one who is going to take a hit for this- it'll be you. You're going to take a ram for sheep and it'll knock you the fuck out. I guess it's something I can use to my advantage because it leaves the element of surprise. Some classmates are still shocked when I'm get one of the highest and, if not, the highest mark in the class. It still bothers me though when I tell people I want to go into medicine and they say they can't see me in it, and could instead picture me being a waiter or actor. I respect their opinion, but wish they'd make it a two-way street and respect my passion.

And at the end of the day, when you have your degree, and you step into that office for that job interview, they're going to tell you to put it back in your ass and see how you can talk.

Michelle Sousa,

My best friend.
Your father and the rest of your family are in my prayers.
Hang in there. I love you more than words can express and will continue to be there at any second of the day or night.
I'm here, always. I'm praying hun. (L)
