Pet Peeve #32

People who are in a relationship just because they need to be in a relationship.
People who are in a relationship who know they're being used but shut an eye to it anyway.

Pet Peeve #31

If you don't know me, don't go around talking to people like we're best friends and you know me completely.
All the stories are just things you've heard from other people who barely know me & also act like they've been the wall flowers to my life.
You fucking wish on the brightest star you were on that level.
Nice try, bud.
Nuff said.

Pet Peeve #29

So when I go shopping for deodorant, I like to smell the different kinds because I'm picky as to how I smell. And there's nothing gross about that. It's not like its touched a dirty armpit. It's perfectly clean, and people need to start owning up to this!
Anyway, I cannot get over how pungent Old Spice smells. It's like made to smell like a bingo hall. I have no idea how anyone could even remotely be allured to the smell. If an old man bought it I could at least have a bit of sympathy since it smells like intense whisky & cigars, but if you're under 60, you have no excuse. Stick to the Speed Stick or Degree.

People who still criticize guys for doing their eyebrows.
Umh do you want your buddy or boyfriend to have a unibrow?
Didn't think so.
It's 2010, and it's literally a matter of removing several tiny strands of hair from you face.
When did the Chewbawka look become sexy?

Pet Peeve #27

A few things about the World Cup:

  1. People who ask "why you're wearing your country's flag" after you tie or lose. Umhh pretty sure I can represent and support my country whenever the fuck I want thanks.
  2. People whos countries aren't even in the World Cup so they just watch the first couple of matches and cheer for the team that appears to be the strongest so they "look good" cheering for the "right team". Pretty sure the team most favoured to win never ends up winning so good luck..
  3. People who talk shit about their own team. Don't call out players and criticize everything they do, ride or die for your team. It's even worse when people say they know their team will lose and have negative spirit and then you turn around after they actually win and all of a sudden they're covered in flags and going crazy.
  4. Team Germany. Pretty sure three of the four guys who scored in the first match were Polish. The team isn't even fucking German so stfu.
  5. People who criticize players for diving and faking injuries. It's part of the sport dumbfuck, this isn't ballet. You would do it too if it meant getting ball possesion and stakes were that high.

This one is a biggie:
People who use full ring tones as their text message alert noise.
How do you not go crazy listening to the same verse of a Justin Bieber song 300 times a day?
Change that shit and use a single beep like everyone else.
I seriously contemplated getting off the bus today and waiting for the next one because of some broad..

Camera shyness. I don't get it.
Especially from this woman.
Such a beautiful girl, but so so self-conscious.
I can't wait till you read this and try to jump me at school.

Pet Peeve #23

People who breathe really heavy.
If someone has a legitimate reason its fine, but if you're just chillin and panting up on my neck, not cool.

When you fully write the correct answer on a test, second guess yourself, erase it, and put down a new answer. Thereafter, upon handing in your test, your teacher laughs at you conspicously and then you discover that you intially had the right answer.
I honestly studied my ass off for this English quest. I'm confident that I got everything else right, but that one this just killed it. It's even worse that some guys were fully talking about how "Coredlia" was the answer for a question, but I was unsure if they were referring to the one I was on. Ughhhh ihu quotation explanations. Hopefully the quotation explanation still gets marks?
Whatever though. Nbd. I'm doing well in Engrish :)

Pet Peeve #21 / Stereotype Rant

"There is one condition worse than blindness, and that is, seeing something that isn't there"

When I'm stereotyped as a stupid, shit disturber, skater kid.
I'm none of the above.
Honestly, I know my teachers take me for an idiot for the first two weeks of classes. And so do other people. They think just because of how I look and who I talk to that I must be some careless white kid who'd rather be on his skateboard at Hershey.
I'll never forget one instance where a teacher, who I'll choose not to name, was giving back our first unit tests and refused to believe I was Matthew Botelho. She looked at the mark, looked at me, and literally said "What? You're Matthew Botelho?" with a confused look on her face. I said yes, and she gave me a look as though I was lying. She didn't give me my test until all the people around me confirmed I was Matt.
Just because me, or anyone for that matter, looks a certain way, doesn't mean they are how you perceive them. At the end of the day, I'm not the one who is going to take a hit for this- it'll be you. You're going to take a ram for sheep and it'll knock you the fuck out. I guess it's something I can use to my advantage because it leaves the element of surprise. Some classmates are still shocked when I'm get one of the highest and, if not, the highest mark in the class. It still bothers me though when I tell people I want to go into medicine and they say they can't see me in it, and could instead picture me being a waiter or actor. I respect their opinion, but wish they'd make it a two-way street and respect my passion.

And at the end of the day, when you have your degree, and you step into that office for that job interview, they're going to tell you to put it back in your ass and see how you can talk.

Pet Peeve #18

People who think pets have the mental capacity of humans.

Recent example:
Matt: (exhaling) I don't remember any of this. Especially the stuff in the first half of the semester... it's all a blur. Not to mention that omlette made me nauscious. And Vavo and Vovo come in every 4 seconds offering me every food under the Sun.
Ollie (my cat): (jumps up on the desk and sits on my work)
Mom: Awwwww! See, Ollie always knows when one of us is feeling bad. He'll make you feel better. Whatta, cutie.
Matt: (staring my mom down)
Mom: What a nice little brother you are Ollie. Tell Matthew to feel better. Koochy, koochy, koo etc. Atta boy. Make him feel better.
Matt: Mom, I'm allergic. And I can't really see what I'm doing anymore.
Mom: Oh, shit. That's right. Ollie, down.
Matt: Get him out.
Mom: (picks Ollie up) Awww baby. Don't let that meanie hurt you. Did that make you sad? He's a mean boy. Tell him, Ollie. Tell him. (grabs paws and points at me with them) You're a mean boy.
Matt: Yeah, I'm living on residence.

How I'm blessed with a cold at the worst possible times.
It's especially weird that when you take special precautions not to catch things from friends, that you end up getting sick.

These ketchup bottles are designed to be upside-down to make your life easier. It prevents us from having to slap it on its ass afterward to get the ketchup to come out.
But I can't help but cringe at those of us who don't seem to understand that concept and put them rightside-up, which completely defeats the purpose of its design. Idiots.

Pet Peeve #15

Inspired by recent events:
People who always find something to complain about.
I know it's ironic of me to say that considering I'm essentially complaining about people complaining, but if you know me well enough, you'll know I'm always one to look on the bright side... fine, most of the time though.
I just hate negativity. It solves nothing.
Like, damn.. just laugh at it and move on.
Don't go around dampening the mood of everyone else's day just so you can get the sympathy you starve for.
My relationship with some people is honestly centralized on criticizing everything and acting like its the end of the world. It's like they can't think of anything else to talk about except school and work. And it's so sad because some of my most memorable conversations have been with them, yet they suddenly are becoming more and more of moody.
Save it.
Once in a while, fine. I'll listen to it. But if you're going to come to me everyday and challenge me with a game of 20 question, I'm tellin you- before the 3rd question, I'ma putchuu in yoo place (ie. I'm done).
It especially bothers me that when I'm asked if I finished something (that I wasn't even told that I had to do), and I say that I haven't yet, that I take all your ranting for nothing. I'm not psychic. Do I look like Criss Angel? Sylvia Brown? Yeah, didn't think so.
It's so unnecessary. It makes me not want to be around some people I really do care about.
All in all, I just think all of us need to learn to calm our mouths. You'd probably be surprised at how much more enjoyable conversations with people will be if you're not spending time having a panic attack/mild seizure in front of them.
Would you rather be remembered as the person who made someone stressed today, or the person who made their day?

Pet Peeve #14

Cigarettes, weed, drugs, etc.
I know it's kinda shallow, but I feel naturally unattracted to anyone who does any of them.
I just can't allow myself to see past it. I can't help it.
People will always say "well you haven't tried it, so how do you know it's bad?".
Really now?
I don't have to try it for it for me to label it as unappealing to my tastes.
I think it's just a bad habit and a waste of money- and that's a fact I don't need to prove.
I mean, if I find out a friend smokes, I'm definitely not going to just stop talking to them, but honestly, to be straight up with all of you: I'm not going to want to hear of or be around any of it.
I wasn't raised to get into stuff like that and I doubt I ever will.
As for relationships, it's a definite no-no.
Smoker's breath is up there on my list of worst turn-offs.

Pet Peeve #13

Haven't done this in a while because I'd rather talk about the positive then the negative, but I gotta share this:

So we get our report cards first period and- you know- I give it a look as I walk to second. Now don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad at all, It'll still get me into the programs I want to get into. But.. I don't know, I just thought that part of the human fuckin sense that Jesus Christ instilled (hopefully) in everyone one of us allowed us to understand the concept of respect and privacy. So, anyway, I'm about to get to class when some nexx bitch comes out of the clear blue fucking sky and decides to harass me about my mark. So I'm nice at first, y'know, I politely say that I wanna keep it to myself and that, basically, it's none of her damn business. BUT APPARENTLY, the damn girl's mom didn't teach her what the hell "no means no" means because she then proceeded to cut off the circulation in my right arm with her clutch and rip the report card outta my hand... now, had this been a really close friend, y'know, I probably woulda let it go and just laughed it off. But I'm just trying to say- when I barely know your first name, don't think that you got the authority to come and fuckin assault my ass and rip private shit outta my hand. You don't know me like that.

Sorry about the excessive swearing but I felt it was necessary. :) So anyways, bottom line: Pet Peeve #13 is for all of those people who don't know how to respect my privacy. And that goes beyond having the compulsion to rip shit outta my hand, but to fishing information outta me. If I don't want to tell you something, that's the end of that topic. Your welcome to change the subject if I don't first. Don't sit there playing 20 goddamn questions with me until I decide to cave in and share everything. I'm not easily manipulated. Try earning my respect in other ways and maybe I can learn to trust you.
