Live in These

Actually LOVE work. I don't think I've ever had a time where I wasn't excited to go in. Here are some pics of the night before I left to Ohio. More AE basement shananigans on Facebook :)

Changes

Absence is to love as wind is to fire,
If the fire is weak, the wind consumes it in an instant,
But if the fire is strong and demands survival, it only flourishes with each blow.

I guess it really does take being away from people to realize who really matters. Whether it's not seeing someone since you through the graduation hat in the air or since right before you leave on vacation, it all starts to make sense.
People come and people go. Some I'll let slip, some I'll chase for a while then surrender, and some I'll chase with all I got.
But for now I'm just going to let it be. I have a gut feeling about who I'm going to hold onto over these next few years, and so far it's all proving to be true.

About time.
So stoked.
It'll get me in GTL overdrive mode.

Pet Peeve #29

So when I go shopping for deodorant, I like to smell the different kinds because I'm picky as to how I smell. And there's nothing gross about that. It's not like its touched a dirty armpit. It's perfectly clean, and people need to start owning up to this!
Anyway, I cannot get over how pungent Old Spice smells. It's like made to smell like a bingo hall. I have no idea how anyone could even remotely be allured to the smell. If an old man bought it I could at least have a bit of sympathy since it smells like intense whisky & cigars, but if you're under 60, you have no excuse. Stick to the Speed Stick or Degree.

Impossible

Tell them all I know now,
Shout it from the rooftops,
Write in on the sky lines,
All we had is gone now.

"Jessi Slaughter"

So some girl thought she was badass and made some video cussing girls out for absolutely no reason..

THEN, After receiving tons of backlashing hate on Youtube, this happened:

As we say in Portuguese, "BEENFATA"/karma's a bitch!

Gym Diaries #2

Slowly but surely, I'm making progress.
I haven't gained much weight but I think that's because I'm losing any leftover fat and strengthening my muscles.
It's a lot harder than I thought.
I have NO problem with abs and any muscle below the waist, but I get sore sometimes after bicep and chest workouts.
Pecs are the WORST. After day 1 I felt terrible around my underarm.
But by my second workout I already felt the pain go away.
I've gone everyday so far so I hope I can keep it up.
As for random stories: Today some man, no less than 60 years old, with braids and Jesus hair actually FOLLOWED me around the gym giving me tips. Ever third machine he'd find me and criticize how I worked the equipment, which is fucking bullshit considering I know what I'm doing. One time he told me to sit straight, which is legit, but he wanted me to bang the weights together with each count. That's how shit breaks dumbass. And then he said I should strive for 50 cycles. Yeahhh nooo pretty sure you shouldn't do more than 15 at a time, especially if you're my size and need to BULK up, not turn your strength training into a full cardio session. And as if that was all, afterward, when he saw me leaving, he FOLLOWED me into the locker rooms. Thankfully his locker wasn't in my section but as I left the showers, he came in. And by the time I got outside, he was out there too, and said he'd be there tommorrow at the same time.
That's definitely the last time I go to the gym right before lunch.

AGO

Free of Wednesday evenings.
Some pretty cool stuff.
Loved scaring the shit outta Isabelle in The Grange.
It's some super old house that's supposedly haunted.
There is a myth that when you walk up the stairs some girl touches your back.
Of course we were in it for no longer than 10 seconds because SOMEONE booked it out after seeing some creepy ass paintings.
Umhhh I'm the one who lives RIGHT beside Grange Park don't even complain.
Still good times.
I love museums and galleries.
It's nice to educate yourself in your free time sometimes.

Twelfth Night @ U of T

HIGHLY recommend it.
It's on until Saturday.
I went last week and it was honestly incredible. It all takes place outside, during the sunset, and everyone brings snacks ie. crackers, cheese, fruits, candy, bottles of wine (LOLZ).
And of course blankets.
The acting was really strong, vocals were great, and the play was well interpreted.
Really made me wish I went to U of T again and did something with drama.
Ugh.

Don't Let the Bedbugs Bite

Don't We All

Remembering Sunday

Woke up from dreaming
And put on his shoes
Starting making his way past 2 in the morning
He hasn't been sober for days
Leaning out into the breeze
Remembering Sunday he falls to his knees
They had breakfast together
But two eggs don't last like the feeling of what he needs

Pet Peeve #28

People who still criticize guys for doing their eyebrows.
Umh do you want your buddy or boyfriend to have a unibrow?
Didn't think so.
It's 2010, and it's literally a matter of removing several tiny strands of hair from you face.
When did the Chewbawka look become sexy?

Gym Diaries #1

So since I'm going to the gym a lot over the summer I'm going to start posting updates on my progress. Hopefully it'll motivate me to try harder.
PS. Pictures will be included ;)
PPS. Hopefully this will increase my blog viewership.

Day 1
So yeah, basically focused on biceps and abs to start. Only did 15 minutes of cardio. I've been told too refrain from cardio since my goal shouldn't be to lose weight but to gain it. I'm also trying to increase my protein & calorie intake, which is kinda difficult. I'm so used to avoiding unhealthy food. I had a Whopper for the first time in ages the other day. Made me a bit sick but I loved it. A healthier but still appropriate choice is all the chicken and steak I've been eating. I feel bloated but I haven't gained any weight yet. I wish I could donate my hyperactive metabolism to some people. Meh.

Live Your Life

So I've worked at AE for almost three months now and what can I say?
I love it.
The staff, the clothes, the customer interaction, the responsibility, the competition, the challenge.
Normally I have no problem approaching strangers, and its really come to good use. I'm in the front most of the time, so I'm constantly welcoming customers, regurgitating our promotions, and mostly assisting them with whatever.
I'm doing really well so far too. I had 2nd highest sales last week out of quite a lot of people, which is pretty good considering I'm new. At our meeting Sunday, two managers even acknowledged that I was doing really well so far, and it felt great. Especially since I was kind of intimidated at first and busted my ass to impress them :)
I'm working a lot this week so hopefully I can keep it up.
I owe it all to the staff there though. They didn't hesitate to show me the ropes ASAP and taught me a lot quicktimes. I can't get over them. Although I'm kinda shy with some and still getting to know them, the ones I do know well I'm in love with. It's just a good crowd of really smart and ambitious people who really have their feet on the ground and still know how to have a good time. I'll never know what would've happened if I accepted the job at Sherway instead, but I definitely don't regret accepting where I am now.

Twinski OD

So stoked bro.
Hopefully this will make those early mornings a lot more bearable.
I'm glad I'll have someone to maximize my potential while I do the same.
And I got Thursdays off, plus I finish early Friday so I can go stay downtown with my Dad some weekends.
Thank god.
Something finally worked out for me this week!

Time for Change

A Brighter Note

Why finish a romantic tragedy when the most bitter, painful, stressful, yet most critical chapter is yet to come?
Put the book down and make another ending.
The bigger the climb, the bigger the fall.
Survive while you're not too high.

I hope you're right.
Thanks for your support.
I don't usually get like that, but you respect me the same from every angle.

Don't Judge a Book by its Prologue

STOP!
and don't scroll down!

If you were to elect a president (only YOUR vote counts) which candidate would you elect?

Candidate A.
Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologistS.
He's had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.

Candidate B.
He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in
college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.

OR

Candidate C.
He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and has never cheated on his wife.

Another one of the acts at Warped. I really like this duo. Their sound is quite different.

Baby's Daddy

So it's official.. Ronaldo is now the father to a child born to an "anonymous American mother". Hopefully she's not some random slu.
Once again Ronaldo, as a Portuguese youth, I worship the ground you walk on, but burn the fucking booty shorts and close your legs.

Bump

Corruption

The asian ukulele boy owns her ass.
But still impressive.. if she's one like the description says. Which looks like a dirty lie.

"Truth is , everyone's going to hurt you
you just have to choose who is worth the pain."

Trapped

I really wish I could just move to the city for once and for all.
Even though I don't have as many friends there yet, it just feels more like home.
I'm so sick of Mississauga it's driving me crazy.
Sleeping at my Dad's the past couple of days makes me wish I went to U of T.
Everything's just so much more alive.
In other news, I met his girlfriend today.
I couldn't be happier with her. She's everything I expected and more. Really positive, free-spirited and enthusiastic.
I guess it comes with her upbringing. She's actually Austrian, and an opera singer, member of the Royal Conservatory of Music, and a pharmacist. And she lives 20 minutes from the Italian border. Jello. (N)
We had a deep conversation about careers. I see a lot of me in her. I've always wanted to move to either the city or Europe for a while, but couldn't decide between performing arts and science or business.
Her advice: "If you're reliant on your passion for show business to make a living, it's going to suck. Establish something to fall back on and then go crazy."
Nice to know I'm on the right track.

Sometimes the first thing you want never comes.

O. Noir

So I was in line at the aftershow today and some girl was telling me about some new restaurant that just opened up in the city called O. Noir where apparently you dine in pitch black darkness.
It was inspired by a blind man in Germany who would blindfold his guests at his dinner parties to give them the same eating experience.
Sounds kinda sketch, but I admire the innovation.
At a hefty $39 a course, I still might check it out sometime.
